Yesterday.
Yesterday was awesome! I sincerely LOVE Thursdays!!!!
It was crazy hat day at the elementary school I go to, and so I decided to wear my Pirate Hat. And since I was wearing my pirates hat, I decided I needed to sorta match.
Now, because this is school I couldn't wear a WHOLE pirate outfit cause that would be distracting. Instead, I wore the tunic top, with a belt, black pants, and LONG brown cardigan, and a pair of black ankle boots.
It was pretty cute actually. The kids told me I either looked like a pirate or an adventurer.
My teacher took a little longer to realize that I was a pirate and she goes, "Oh! That's subtle! That's clever!"
Then the students were trying to get me to come to their fall party tomorrow, and I was all, "I will have to see if I can." And they asked if I had a job. So I told them I am that cool person who scans cards. (Which is sorta true, I make sure people scan their cards at the gym I work at.)
And one of the kids asked if Thursday was my day off and if that was why I come in. I told her I am practising for the job I want. And she goes, "Yeah. I understand you wanting to practice for a new job. The other job would be boring to spend the rest of your life scanning cards."
And then later, they asked if I am going to be there next week, and I said "Not next week." and they of course asked why, cause kids are super nosy.
The same little girl says, "Is it cause you are going to be at your boring job?" And I laughed and said no.
Then I had a dance studio costume dance party to go to last night. So I put on the FULL costume. I even wrapped my hair in braiding cord. It looks pretty cool.
Anyways it was a lot of fun. Some of my younger girls would poke me and run away. So I would make them dance with me when they would poke me. When they realized that, they poked me more, cause they are nine. And turds.
Then I guess the one of the mama's told her daughter and Nikki that they needed to get me because they couldn't tell the other girls to come back themselves. Some of my older (but not quite old enough) girls had left the studio and were walking to this little coffee shop on the square.
The girl who had gotten my attention was all, "I can't do anything about it, but you can." And I was all, "I got this." And I walked over and had them come back.
Well.
Apparently.
I have a full on MOM WALK.
I am NOT even a mom!
I am only 22!
But I have a full on mom walk.
I went back in and one of the other little girls says, "Wow. You got your mom walk on." And then the mama who told her daughter to tell me goes, "I saw your face change and the walk and was all, Oh crap! I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that one!"
So I have a mom walk.
But yeah! It was good!
