Anyways the only difference was that I didn't get locked in at night, and the doors were open the whole time.
We had a day long homework party at the library today. It was a lot of homework.
Just to let you know becoming a teacher is ALOT of hard work!!
But that is not what I was going to write about.
I remembered randomly this story:
This was like three years ago. And I was still going to the college that is more north than the college I am at now.
And I was living with five other girls in this apartment like structure. It was called Lissner Hall, and was WAY better than a normal dorm cause there was a living room, and three bedrooms and a little kitchenette, and a sink room and a toilet room, and a shower room. Cause that is the best way to do it when there are six people living in one apartment.
And I got along with pretty much all the other girls. There was just this one girl.
We didn't actually like invite her to live with us. She just sorta clumped herself with us. And I did NOT like her.
Now don't get me wrong. I was nice to her... usually. But I didn't like her.
And every morning. With no fail the smoke detector would go off. EVERY MORNING! And my bedroom was right next to the kitchenette. But I never had to worry about going out and being all "turn it off"
All I had to do was go "Bethany! Make it stop!!!" And my roommate would.
Now. I worked three jobs (which is normal for me) and I would get MAYBE like 1 to 2 hours of sleep a night. Because I worked a night job and then would really only have time to do homework after I got home at like 2:30 am.
This means that if I slept, that I had passed out on the couch with my homework spread around me.
Now this roommate. The one I didn't get along well with... would WAKE ME UP at 6:30 in the morning (I had maybe been asleep for 30 minutes to an hour) and would tell me I needed to pick up my stuff. In which I would look at her incredulously and be like "I am sleeping, its all due today. I will be picking it up." and just kinda roll over or go into my room to go sleep for another thirty minutes.
I don't think I have to tell you wonderful readers. NEVER wake up a sleeping person if you know they work a night job. They will despise you even more if you do.
So one night i had a plan. It was a brilliant plan. A wonderful, brilliant, EVIL plan!
I knew that everyone in the apartment aside from me and the girl who I didn't like much were very heavy sleepers.
So heavy in fact that one time the fire alarm was going off and I had to wake up one of my roommates cause she was still sleeping and had NO IDEA what was happening.
My bedroom might have been by the kitchen, but this girls' was by the bathroom.
So I waited.
When I got home from work I went in to the bathroom and flushed the toilet.
Waited thirty minutes.
Flushed the toilet.
Waited thirty minutes.
Flushed the toilet.
And so on.
All night until about an hour before everyone woke up.
Then as I was leaving, I heard her go, "We really need to watch how many times the toilet flushes at night... Everytime I started to fall asleep someone would flush the dang toilet!"
And her immediate roommate goes, "I didn't hear anything!"
And I started walking out, and one my girls looked at me with this twinkle in her eyes and a smirk on her lips. And I just smiled and wished everyone a good day.
No one ratted me out, cause they all knew she didn't treat me all that great and since it didn't really affect anyone else.. they were fine with it.
And that is how you deal with people waking you up!
I hope you have a wonderful night and a great friday!!!!
P.S. Dear Good Sir, if you are reading this. I finished the list. I got 27. I just need one more to get 28. Who knew?! And I only cheated for two! My roommate MIGHT have helped a little.. Just thought I would let you know!
