I have been horribly busy.
To be honest this is my first ENTIRE day off in a LONG time.
It will be my LAST day off in a long time.
It is wonderful.
I am sitting here on my couch.
Typing.
Eating ice cream.
Doing homework.
It's all I ever really do.
But you know what? That's alright.
I am learning SO MUCH in my Student Teaching.
Like.
Not just HOW to teach or classroom manage...
I am learning I have the ability to.
I am gaining confidence to do something that if you think about it...
It's scary.
You and maybe 30-50 other adults are in a building full of children, over one hundred children. They could EASILY overthrow the system and we would have ANARCHY on our hands. CHILD LED ANARCHY!
Anyways. Kids are great.
But.
I am excited to start teaching, in fact I am going to start applying very soon.
Adult hood, here comes Emilie, ready or not.

You know what is weird?
We automatically just assume we are going to get married and have children, own a house and have a car. We just automatically assume that.
Why?
Because our parents did?
Is that the only reason why we say, "My kid is gonna have this or do this." even when we are as single as the day we were born?
Think about it.
Why do we just naturally assume this?
So many people have a hook-up mentality that I don't think that is a real concept for our generation. No one has any level of commitment. People give up so easily, get offended so easily and not only that. They air EVERYTHING on social media. Things that do not need to be shared with the public. Private moments. (Not engagement photos/videos cause those are cute and I like to celebrate with you). But there are happy moments that should be shared only with those closest.
Things are shared only for fame and attention.
It bothers me.
If your kid is being a brat and yelling and kicking. DISCIPLINE THEM! Tell them that is unnacceptable! Do not just VIDEO your child and post it on facebook.
Two reasons:
1) It's a private affair
2) It's promoting your child's tantrums
3) YOU LOOK LIKE JERK PARENTS!
Take care of your children for Pete's sake! Put down the dang phone and be a parent.
Sorry...
This bothers me a lot.
I won't rant anymore.
Okay.
