In one class we got to do readers theatre. (Perk of becoming a teacher. Almost everything we do in class is fun.) I got to lay on a table and "Sleep" for most of that. SO GREAT!!!!
Then I got to go grocery shopping with my male-friend-that-I-am-fond-of and have lunch. Okay, so I know it is weird, but I really really love going grocery shopping. Mostly cause it means... FOOD. And I really like the FOOD.
Then back to class I went and we got chocolate cupcakes. A professor's birthday was that day, so to surprise her we all pitched in and got her a sonic drink and cupcakes.
Then I went to Zumba.
Okay. Back story time. On Wednesday I teach a dancer's keep in shape class. This class is where I get paid for torturing students in a way that will actually help them become better dancers. I am not sure if you have seen it but there is an ab workout to the song, "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars. (Here is the video:)
Well last night, in my advanced class some of my girls were talking about it. (3/5 of my class is in my keep in shape class and the other two are wanting to take it). They were begging to do abs. So I let them vote. I told them if we did abs we would not do barre stretch. So they voted. Abs won. I was a bit like "WHAT?!" So we did abs. Again. (my poor abs. I am not working out all weekend.) Then, we also learned, you CANNOT do pushups in pointe shoes, it doesn't work. It just... doesn't.
So I am VERY sore. And I am going to be very in shape!
My younger girls even behaved themselves VERY VERY well! No criers this week! Which is fantastic.
Then after dance, me and my male-friend-whom-I-am-fond-of went for a walk. I think this one is definitely a top favorite. It was also one of our shortest. (And I didn't pass out this time!) But so much fun! In the words of Elizabeth Bennet, "I dearly love to laugh."
