Driving is Cathartic.
Jesus is Cathartic.
Do you know what is REALLY cathartic?
Road tripping with Jesus.
I mean, it was gorgeous. The moon was so bright and huge.
When I crossed over the bridges, the deep velvet blues of the night and dark blacks of the shadows were being kissed by the silver of the moon. It was something straight from a storybook.
I fell in love with God all over again.
I mean look at what he gives us!
Beauty.
Beauty in the midst of confusion or questioning.
He made the world beautiful.
For us.
For us... isn't that amazing?
Life is confusing.
But driving tends to put everything into perspective.
Also having that friend that you talk about dreams with for fivish hours.
Can I just say though... one of my students just really touched my heart?
She was talking to me about her singing coach. She said that we were sort of the same. (Sidenote: she is 13) I asked her how so, and she said that we push her really hard because we want her to do her best. She also mentioned, "When I wasn't eating, you and her made me eat. You would check on me. You all really care."
And I said, "Nice to have people like that in your life?" And she goes, "Yeah, it's really nice." And got out of my car.
And that... that just... really touched me because I have impacted someone's life. This is something I hope I will never forget because this is what makes the frustrations and moments where you wonder if you are getting through all worth it.
I have some homework to do a baby to hold. So I will let you go. Have a lovely Sunday evening.
