See sometimes I do not like people.
I am an introvert and when I get overwhelmed it is really hard for me to continue being social. I can do it, but it is really tiring.
I do realize I am a teacher and that I have to be social all day.
Some days it is a little harder but I can do it.
It's all good.
Well yesterday I was having kind of a... not bad day really... just a frustrating day.
Kids were talking back. Not sassy, just flat out rude.
And I am not okay with that.
One girl was complaining about her project incessantly.
She got a B on a project, threw a fit and informed me she needed to go talk to the counselor because she was having a "personal issue." I let her, because I was tired of the complaining and the bullying that she was doing.
One thing you never really realize. It is the bully's who tend to go to the counselor.
Now please do not misread this.
I do still care for this student. I would do anything to make sure she is still learning. But some days... even though you love your student's you are just done with their ridiculous behaviours.
I was on edge anyways.
Then the person covering me in the detention room forgot. So the principal came to me and wasn't super thrilled.
Let's just say, by the end of the day I wanted to just go home. I wanted to go home, get some chinese food, and sit.
Not do anything but just sit.
Of course before that... this happened.
I was taking my dog out and there was literally no one outside except my dog, me, and my land lady.
OUT OF NOWHERE this guy pops up.
He is a neighbor but REALLY creepy.
Last time I saw him he tried to shanghai me on a date. I had just woken up from three hours of sleep and just gotten some food. He shows up and gets NONE of my hints. Never even introduced himself. He says, "Have you been avoiding me?"
That is how he started the conversation.
I still don't know his name.
He wanted to know what happened last time. I quickly informed him I had a boy-friend. Except I think that the hyphen was silent. But then I ran off. He really is a weird little fellow.
Finally I got into my apartment.
I got my chinese food.
I sat down and curled up in my blankets.
I turned on a movie.
And I ate.
Then came time to call my friend.
So I did.
He didn't answer and I was okay with that in a way.
So I continued the movie and then he called.
Can I just say...
The moment I heard his voice, my crankiness dissapated?
I was able to giggle and laugh with him.
All became right in the world.
It was amazing.
I am so excited for next Tuesday.
That is definitely something I am going to have to write about.
Just know we are dressing up to go see Batman Lego Movie and go to Applebees.
I CANNOT WAIT!!!! THREE MORE DAYS!!
It will be his birthday!
