You know the kind..
The kind where they left a knife in your heart.
The kind that is caused by someone you trusted.
The kind where you looked at the person as an adopted family, like an uncle or grandpa, or aunt or mom or something respectable like that.
That kind of anger.
What do you do when you want to rip them a new one...
What do you do when you want to chew them out...
What do you do when you have so much you want to say
What do you do when you also want to be forgiving but it hurts
What do you do when you just want to completely ignore the person
What do you do?!
I don't actually have a perfect answer for you.
I don't have any written out detailed instructions.
Nope.
All I can say is give it to God.
He knows what to do when we don't.
He will take care of it for us.
He listens to us as we lay out the pain in our heart.
He then takes that pain and gives us peace instead.
The other thing I have to say is... don't say anything you will regret when you've calmed down.
That means, if you KNOW that you will say those things to them... don't answer the phone. Don't write that email.
Do listen to their apology.
Do forgive them.
Don't say what you really want to though.
Fighting fire with fire doesn't work.
Don't hold on to the anger either.
That is just going to hurt you.
So give it to God.
Our Heavenly Father is there for us.
We just have to be open to Him and ask him.
He really is a good God.
