I haven't written in a while...
And I am TRULY VERY sorry about that.
Really I am.
A lot has been going on.
I mean there is:
-School
-Practicum at an elementary school (Started today)
-Dance classes (started yesterday)
-More dance classes (Started like two weeks ago)
-Rock wall (I don't actually do this one much)
-Desk worker at the gym (Hasn't ever really stopped haha)
-Personal stuff
-Homework
-Friends
-Private Lessons (was supposed to start today except the student accidently forgot)
-I have to be Minnie Mouse Tomorrow
-Trying to convince my girls that murder is not the answer when things do not go as planned. (um.... really long story behind that)
ALL WHILE TRYING TO ADULT!!!
But I love writing on this. This is literally my down time.
This is IN FACT how I wind down.
I write.
I write about life and my day and what is on my mind.
Except I don't really want to write what is on my mind right now... just because it is my business... and it is being taken care of by God.
However, I have been granted courage. And that is a wonderful thing.
And today I started practicum!!! :D :D :D
My teacher is a TOTAL spaz and I love it!!! She is more scatterbrained than I am!
So I walk into her classroom and I ask if she is my cooperating teacher, she looks at me with confusion and then says yes. So I introduce myself and she goes, "Oh my gosh!!! You are coming in today! I totally forgot!"
And then I found out it was DRA testing today which is a reading fluency assessment.
And then while we were for the kids to get out of specials so that we could give the tests... she gave me a tour of the school, and we passed her classroom like two or three times and she kept forgetting her stapler. Well...
We finally manage to get the stapler into the room we are doing the assessments.
And like she gave me a quick overview of DRA and how to do the testing and then at one point I ended up administering the test. On my first day no less.
And then I realized that she had forgotten the letter from my supervisor in the assessment room, so I go back and grab it for her.
What do I see?
The Stapler.
So I grab that too and bring it back into her room and just set it on her desk.
Well then skip forward a few hours later.
She goes, "Miss Dodge, do you know what I left in the room?! The Stapler!!!"
I grinned and was all, "No you didn't its right there!"
And she looked surprised and I said, "I noticed you left it so I grabbed it for you and brought it back."
And she was all, "Oh! You are wonderful! This is such a blonde day!"
And that about sums up the rest of the day.
To be fair she really wasn't expecting alot of what happened today to happen.
I am going to love it in there. And I just ADORE the students.
I wil let you know how the whole Minnie Mouse thing goes tomorrow!! :D
Goodnight folks. Have a wonderful evening!
