So Thursday rolls around.
I go to practicum in a third grade class. I love that class and I have only been there two weeks. My cooperating teacher is fantastic, and the students are just great.
It was also Grandparent's day, (we are hoping that the third week is the charm and that I will get to see an actual full day of teaching.)
Anyways, the kids were making these adorable crafts where they cut out a tracing of their hands and glue a hershey kiss onto it so that it is blowing kisses to their grandparent. And the students were only allowed to have as many kisses as hands they were giving to their grandparents.
One little boy comes up to me and and says, "I need like two or three more pieces of chocolate." And confused I ask, "Did you make more?" And I walked him back to his desk to see these three more hands he made with his grandmother. And as we get back to his desk he goes, "No, these are actually just for us to eat." And my reply? "Actually, you don't get to eat them."
This is the same little boy who for free write will write whatever words pop into his brain. He is very intelligent.
Then I got to chat with my teacher and she was telling me how every teacher going through the program wants to know about the first day and that it is always very nerve racking because you know that every group of students is different.
Then I was like IN THE ZONE on the way home. I was like, gotta get food, change, and go to dance. So I like rushed out of my car and ran around to the other side and started pulling stuff out of my car. Next thing I know there is this face next to mine... okay on the other side of my car door, but my back was turned.
I turned around and heard a yell.
I SCREAMED BLOODY MURDER, AND JUMPED SUPER HIGH, AND THEN SORTA LIKE DROPPED INTO THE FETAL POSITION.
I HEARD LAUGHING.
AND YOU KNOW WHO IT WAS?!
THE-MALE-WHOM-I-AM(was)-FOND-OF!!!!!
He was laughing so hard, but he was nice and knelt down to where I was basically crying. "Are you okay?" And then he lost it again.
I replied, "NO!" and he lost it even more. "I'm sorry but that is the best reaction I have had in a LONG time."
Then I ended up going over to his apartment to go get a cd that I left in his laptop case. And guys....
CHEESY PRETZALS WITH SOUR CREAM AND CHIVE DIP IS AMAZING!! YOU NEED TO GO TO THE GROCERY STORE RIGHT NOW AND GET SOME!!!!!
Dance was fun! I just love my job.
Why?
Because I get to hop around to the Tigger song and make elephant noises with my little ones and am not considered crazy because it is part of my job!!! :D
I am trying to think of anything that might have happened on friday... Nothing really... OH. Wait. Yes... Yes there was something that happened friday...
I was not feeling very well on Friday. So I sorta just chilled. And sometimes when I chill I like to wear not super modest clothes...
So I was curled up in the mushroom chair with a crop top on with my sweat pants. And my roommate walks in with a friend. I was like "Oh good! It's a girl! No worries!" And then....
....
....
...
The guy who tried to kiss me at one point this summer walks in....
Needless to say, my eyes go WIDE, and I am like, "I am going to go put on real clothes. And just so I don't have to pass him, I go through the balcony into my room and just sorta stay there. Then I decided I was going to go to bed...
Except it was eight and they were chatting (nothing wrong with that) so I didn't really fall asleep, and every time that I started to, I would wake back up.
So one of my friends texted me asking if she could borrow some of my movies, and so she came over.
Well, at that point I was just awake.
So I grabbed some crochet, and we went to her apartment to watch a chick flick.
We decided to watch the Notebook.
Now.
I may own the Notebook, but I have never seen it.
Guys.
I cried from the moment he danced with her in the street, to the end of that movie. I SOBBED at the end.
Literally, my friend threatened to turn off the movie cause I couldn't stop crying.
Every time I composed myself I lost it again.
That was an emotional roller coaster from start to finish.
Then Saturday rolled around.
I am not a morning person. I might be up early every morning, but that does not mean I like it. And saturday I usually sleep in (or try to) but I didn't get to cause practise was at 8:30 am.
So I was fairly crabby.
I bought a quart of Chocolate Milk and donuts... Yeah.. I drank ALL that milk.
And then got to go back home and take a fifteen minute nap before I got ready to leave.
HOWEVER BETWEEN WALKING INTO MY HOME AND NAPPING I LOST MY KEYS I STILL DONT KNOW WHERE THEY ARE AND IT REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!
Then I got lost trying to find the festival we were performing at, Learned I SUCK at parking, and yeah.
But that about ends it for the grumpy stuff.
The performances went REALLY well.
Then, of course all my little buddies made my day (I have like four or five).
Then I got to be Mickey Mouse on the float, and we only listened to "Afro circus/i like to move it" Five times.. that is all :p
Then I went home. Just to get ready for a Sweet Sixteen party I was invited to.
So using my internet friends they helped me pick out dress, shoes, and helped me decide how to wear my hair.
I definitely straightened my hair. It is SUPER cute straight.
Oh! And whilst I was getting ready...
I was having the BEST conversation with the-male-whom-I-am(was)-fond-of.
So then I went to the party, and ended up DJ-ing and playing with all the little kids, and hanging out with two of my students who are not that big into parties.
Honestly, I am not that big into parties either, they are really hard for me to do.
Even though I got to wear a mask last night! It was great! And got to hang out with two of my little buddies. :D (When I get those pictures I will show you.)
I am now working on homework until four when I go to work.
Here is a selfie I took last night.
