It was a fabulous weekend.
I mean phenomenal!!
I got to see the-male-whom-I-am-fond-of
And his family too!!!
Saturday I got to his family's house.
I knocked.
No answer.
So I petted the dogs and waited a bit.
Tried to call my love.
Tried to knock again.
This time the door opened.
His mom felt so bad.
She thought I was a woodpecker or something.
(Which then became a running joke)
Then I helped out Christy with lunch.
We made this really good russian dish.
SO GOOD!!!
After that we played games.
We played hearts and spades.
I had never played them before, but finally got to learn.
There was lots of yelling.
There was almost a lot of punching.
It was enjoyable!
Well.
We had decided we were going to cook dinner and dessert for his family.
Okay.
I was cooking dinner
He was cooking dessert
And Christy (his sister) ended up cooking dessert too.
Two desserts!!!!
Being the bold and brave human that I am.
I decided to make homemade lasagna.
Like homemade sauce and EVERYTHING.
I was so nervous because there is a lot to making this dish!
But we were all buzzing about the kitchen.
It was noisy.
It smelled delicious on three accounts.
Music was playing.
It was...
So nice.
Christy and I made cheesy garlic bread.
Then we made a cheese bread flower.
Cause we are creative!
The cheese bread tasted amazing.
The lasagna...
OH MY GOSH!
It was so good!
Even the person who doesn't like lasagna thought it was so good!!!!
I am not going to lie.
I was so incredibly nervous about it!
But it turned out so good!
Then after dinner we were all ready for food comas.
My lasagna was extra meaty and 3 layers.
Then we had two desserts.
(Oh, Zac made these beautiful and delish apple flowers.)
So.
We were STUFFED!!!
So we watched movies.
Christy painted our nails.
It was just so chill.
Then we had sunrise service the next morning, then made breakfast.
It was just an all around chill weekend.
Oh and his mom got us an Easter basket.
I got purple kitchen utensils.
